Our Religion lies not in what we believe, but in where we find wonder and goodness. We are, most of all, a community that gathers to reach toward that which can never quite be grasped.

Though each of us may be slightly different from the other, still we are connected, by common DNA, common heritage, and a common yearning to walk together. By sharing the trials and triumphs of our lives we create a bond which makes each of us a little more human and a little more blessed.

Let us be thankful for the universe which is our home: for its grandeur, beauty, and abundance. Let us be thankful for our senses, by which we see the splendors of morning and evening, hear the laughter of children and songs of birds, and taste the richness of life. Finally, let us be thankful for our fellow human beings, with whom we share love, loss, celebration, sorrow: the sacred deepness of our interconnected lives.

Let us ponder this: If knowledge is power, then what is feeling?
If knowledge is the currency of technology and discover, is not feeling the currency of human interaction?
If knowledge is the seed of achievement, then is not feeling the seed of perception, the questing for insight at the edge of our human limitations?
How unwise would we be to pursue one without the other?

We journey through our lives in the company of countless fellow seekers, many of whom we never meet. Some we encounter only when drawn together by strife or catastrophe. Yet all these unknown others are connected to our lives always, and we connected to theirs. It is proper to reflect on such sacred strands of kinship. They are the water which buoys us up. They are the air we breathe.

Life is full of blessing and change. The same rain which waters our fields and quenches our thirst, seeps in through cracks in our house and makes our lives miserable. The same leaves which shade, cool, and delight us in summer, can clog our gutters and bury our lawns in fall. There is no pure victory. Many a trial leaves us stronger, wiser, and more blessed in its wake
